AFSA NextGen Principle’s Dinner
May 17, 2016
On Tuesday evening, May 17th your AFSA MAC chapter will be hosting a “Principal’s Dinner” on the subject of Developing Talent and Management Skills for your Next Generation Employees.
Principal Dinners, offered by invitation only, are to be attended by the owners, senior managers and decision makers of local AFSA National and AFSA MAC member companies. We will offer these special engagement dinners when we believe there is an issue that will have a fundamental effect on every member company that must first be addressed by the driving forces within each company. These issues can be legislative, code related or in this case have a powerful effect on the future success of local fire sprinkler contractors.
The development of talent and management skills for your next generation employees is not about tossing a rookie in the deep-end to see if they sink or swim and it is not about finding your replacement. It is about recognizing the strongest performers in your organization and guiding their development into career minded employees that define the future success of your company.
If you cannot identify employees in your company that fit this mold, we can help you find them. If you are not sure how to develop those that show promise into reliable leaders, we will offer programs to teach them.
On May 17th, we will take the first step to tackle this issue and demonstrate how the AFSA MAC can be a strong resource to do so.
- 30 Minute presentation from Bill Lauer of the DVIRC regarding the national skilled worker gap and the programs available to address it through joint efforts from AFSA MAC and DVIRC.
- 15 Minute presentation from Meaghen Wills which will focus on AFSA’s Next Generation Workgroup
